One Heck of A Day

Today has been one longgg day. I took an 11 am train into the city to finalize my move out. When I got there I asked the man, "What do I have to do to move out?" He replied, "First move all your things out of the room and once that is finished we will continue from there." I replied back ands said, "Oh, I already moved everything out, I'm all set to go." He replied, "Wow! Okay, lets go then." I was thrilled to say the least. We went up to my room for one last time to check and see if their were any damages. I knew there were, but he walked in for one second and said, "Your good." Yay Mom and Dad! No charges for damages.

After that was finished I met up with one of my best friends, Danielle, for lunch in the park. We hit up Whole Foods and both made our own salads. I filled my box with a couple roasted sweet potatoes, a huge pile of arugula for the base, carrots, onions, several peanuts, lemon baked tofu, shredded zucchini, wheatberries,  chickpeas, and a dollop of hummus. All dressed with apple cider vinegar and balsamic vinegar. YUM.

We walked through Columbus Circle..

...and ate lunch in Central Park. My favorite park ever.

Eatin' lunch on the rock
With lunch I also enjoyed a Zevia, a natural zero calorie soda. Great option for soda lovers like me who don't want to ingest tons of aspartame.

After lunch, I said by to Danielle :( Miss you Dani!

And it was just me, myself, and I going to take care of the large boxes.

It took a lot of effort and the mail room at Fordham is not a Post Office, it's only a package pick up place. SO I had to borrow a cart and roll two twenty pound boxes to the nearest Post Office. It was difficult to say the least, AND the people working there were beyond rude. This is where I roll my eyes at New Yorkers. Ugh.

I finally arrived back on Long Island where I hung out with Bridget's family for a few hours. I snacked on a ton of carrots and my favorite peanut butter ever, Peanut Butter and Co.'s Cinnamon Raisin Swirl. This stuff is seriously dangerous, but I can't help but purchase it every time I'm at the store!

I didn't really eat a proper dinner because I snacked so much when I got home from the city. I had a full belly. After playing some basketball I wanted to go for a run, so Katherine (Bridget's sister) and I set out to run three miles. We ended up going a little further.

Woohoo! Felt so good. Now I'm back at the house relaxing. I just enjoyed a bowl of Cookie Dough Cereal and an apple and I am now sufficiently full! I'm currently watching Baby Mama, which I've never seen before. They all say its hilarious, but I'll let y'all know after I watch it. Good night, I'll catch ya tomorrow!
